21st Birthdays Sydney: Venues and themes!

My 21st birthday party feels like a LIFE time ago now. I remember being so excited and planning everything down to a T.

For anyone planning their 21st birthday party, this is such an exciting time, a night you will remember forever! A time for your family and friends to share embarrassing stories (I had more than I’d care to admit).

One thing I wish I had organised was a really cool theme to go along with the night. My 21st was a simple cocktail style, along with a hot pink, black and white colour palette. I also wish I had booked a function venue (much less work!)

Check out our list of of 21st birthday party themes:

1. Tux’s & Tiaras: What to wear: Guys in a tux and now tie, ladies is glamorous (large) dresses, big hair, spray tan – the whole shebang! Toddlers and Tiaras for some, um inspiration!  What to serve: A range of cocktails – perhaps a signature cocktail on arrival for your guests. Glittery cupcakes and a HUGE “21st” cake topper.

2. Brains vs Beauties: What to wear: Boys: slick your hair down, get your four eyes on and your nerdiest t-shirt for this ultimate geek fest. Oh, and that bow tie you never thought you’d wear…this is your chance. Girls: step into a gorgeous pair of heels and glam yourself up!

3. Superheroes: A superhero theme doesn’t just have to be for kids! Everyone can get dressed up as their favourite superhero from when you were a child. Serve “Kryptonite” cocktails and event have a “Gothan City” backdrop. The options are endless.
